Give

Give, and share in it.

Everything we have built is already free and already running. What is missing is not the software. It is the distance between it and the people it was written for.

“The example of those who spend their wealth in the cause of Allah is that of a grain that sprouts into seven ears, each bearing one hundred grains. And Allah multiplies the reward even more to whoever He wills.”

Qur'an 2:261

Twenty thousand people saw something of ours last month, and we spent nothing to reach them. Not because we are clever, but because we have not yet had anything to spend.

Money here does not buy servers. It buys distance. It puts a verse in front of someone who has never seen one, in a country we have never been to.

مَنْ دَلَّ عَلَى خَيْرٍ فَلَهُ مِثْلُ أَجْرِ فَاعِلِهِ

“One who guides to something good has a reward similar to that of its doer.”

Sahih Muslim 1893a, Book 33, Hadith 195

And it is not only ours. Every person who reads because you gave, that is written for you too.

Monthly is the one that helps most, because it is the only kind of giving we can plan against.

Fund a project

Or take one thing off The List.

The List is our honest account of gaps we can see and cannot yet fill: a Qur'an that works with no internet, the seerah told properly for a seven year old, a gentle path through a revert's first year, the languages that never get the good version.

If you or your organisation want to carry one of them from start to finish, write to us and we will tell you plainly what it involves, what it costs, and what we cannot promise.

Before you give

Things worth saying plainly.

  • One fund, not a menu. Giving goes into one general fund for the work as a whole rather than to a project you pick. That is deliberate: it means the quiet, unglamorous parts get funded too. What the money went to is reported afterwards on the transparency page.
  • We do not accept zakat. Funding free software and educational content from zakat is a contested question among scholars, and we would rather not put your obligation at risk. Give us sadaqah, and give your zakat to the poor.
  • There is nothing to receive in return. No mugs, no books, no tote bags, no tickets. A name on a supporters page if you want one, and nothing else. A gift with a gift attached stops being a gift, in law as well as in meaning.
  • No money has moved yet. The association was registered on 27 July 2026 and has not yet spent donor money, because it has not yet asked for any. When that changes, the figures go on the transparency page and are dated.
  • Nobody draws a salary. Not the founders, not the board. That is true today, and if it ever stops being true it will be written on the transparency page before it happens, not after.
  • Estonian tax deduction. Baqiyah is not yet on the Estonian Tax and Customs Board list of associations benefiting from income tax incentives, so a donation today does not carry a deduction. We describe where that stands, honestly, on the transparency page.

How to reach us about money. Anything at all, including a question you think is rude: salam@buruja.com. We would rather answer it than have you wonder.
